A reputable physician with offices in El Paso, TX and a medical practice in Cd. Juarez, Chihuahua, has teamed up with "Mexico" Mike to recommend only highly-qualified Mexican doctors and surgeons. Doctor Mark and I have worked together for two years now and have helped many Americans who were uninsured or underinsured. If you have insurance, sometimes he can bill your insurance company.
But first, Dr. Mark will talk to you, find out what's going on, review any tests your American doctor has done (if any) and tell you straight out whether he can help you. We have had patients who needed hernia operations, plastic surgery, lap band bariatric surgery (which was invented in Mexico by Dr. Arturo Rodriguez in 1981), and other gastric bypass surgery. The hospital in Cd. Juarez can do almost anything, except transplants. But Dr. Mark is not a shill for any hospital. He will tell you frankly what can and cannot be done. Mexican doctors have had more years of experience with lap band surgery.
Mark insists on patients being realistic. While flying into El Paso, getting treated and flying out right away could be done, he strongly suggests you stay a few days after discharge to make sure there are no complications. To that end, he will recommend a medium-priced hotel that we have used. Of course, you can stay at any hotel you like, but we are about saving you money and don't make an extra dime if you stay. There are three excellent hospitals in Cd. Juarez and a new one being built. Depending on the level of care you need, Mark will recommend one of the hospitals. Each has its plusses and minuses and he has privileges at all of them. He'll be frank with you.

Mark is a licensed physician and graduated from medical school in Chihuahua. He personally knows the surgeons he recommends. He's aware that someone had to graduate last from medical school and won't recommend anyone he wouldn't trust with his own family.

We charge a consultation fee of $55 for a referral, which includes as many phone conversations as needed with Dr. Reeves. He will ask for any records you might have with your US physician. He is good, but not clairvoyant. He will tell you what can be done, based on what you tell him is wrong. But no diagnosis is made over the phone. Most people have been to local physicians and have a diagnosis, but everything is double-checked before any medical procedure is done. You and Dr. Reeves determine the proper treatment for you and the cost.
