Small Mexican Hotels & B&B's We Like

Unique Mexican Small Hotels And Spas

For spas of Mexico, please see my Mexican spa reviews at spa reviews.

This is a short list of economical (or unique) hotels and bed and breakfasts in Mexico. We like Mexican hotels that are off the beaten track, not tourist spots. If you have economical hotels in Mexico you like, please let us know. I used to have dozens of hotels listed, but frankly, had to drop many of them. In keeping with the spirit of "Mexico" Mike, some of the listings are here just because I like the places and some are advertisers. If you own a hotel (particularly an out-of-the-way place) and would like to see it featured here, please contact me.

If you own a hotel, you can advertise here for $120 a year. Will include picture and link to your own site. Mexicomike.com gets more than 700,000 unique visitors a year. Thanks, "Mexico" Mike.

COZUMEL

There is wonderful little Bed and Breakfast in Cozumel called Charrito's, $29.00 a night P.P. sandy@cozumel.czm.com.mx.

GULF COAST

El Paraiso, near Tampico has got the be the most undiscovered, serene value on the entire coast. Only a few hours away from McAllen or Brownsville, it is a joy to discover. For pictures and details, please click here. Alas, when the fire destroyed my house, I lost the owner's contact info, so I can't help you with reservations. If you go, ask Kiko to call me.

COLONIAL MEXICO

SAN LUIS POTOSI
holiday1@prodigy.telmex.net.mx -- .The Holiday Inn San Luis Potosi is absolutely the BEST! Great management. They will pick you up at the airport for free. Reasonable rates for a chain hotel. The manager Alejandro Romero couldn't be more helpful. If you are taking a group to this wonderful town, or to Xilitla, make this your home away from home!

Gogorron Hot Spring
Roman tubs! Hot springs good for (from personal experience) arthritis, psoriasis, insomnia.

SAN MIGUEL de ALLENDE, GTO.
